13&14 /30 January Painting | “Editing”

Day 13 & 14, 30 paintings in 30 days.

A long holiday weekend, starting with a half-day of work yesterday, and no work on Monday! Most would think that means tons of time for painting. Yes, and tons of time for other things, too! Like a meeting with an artist who I may be helping with her online presence, and a(n almost) full day of work today, working on a website for another client (to be revealed soon).

Fortunately, there were donuts and coffee to help me through. And before you remind me, yes I know that I also have a fitness goal this year. I’ll get to that soon.

I did find time for painting as well, even though it meant that I missed out on most of the beautiful sunshine this afternoon. Oh well. Sometimes you have to make sacrifices.

This is another double painting. Trying some contemporary views. You know, like when the wedding photographer cuts off the heads of the subjects on purpose? Here’s the artists’/writers’ rendition—cutting off a good chunk of the manuscript being edited. (Who wants to read the entire manuscript anyway? Editing is tedious enough as it is!)

I’m headed out on a day trip on Monday, so I also got a head start on my next painting(s), but they will be revealed a day at a time. So check back Sunday and Monday as well (and for the rest of the 30 days) for more paintings!

Enjoy!

P.S. One of my goals for the new year is to paint in January. My theme for all the paintings is “writing”.
