The thing I want to yell about but also want to whisper because it’s scary/exciting to announce:

Follow through. That’s all I ask.

When you say you’re going to do something, then do it. If you’re not going to do it, then don’t say you are going to do it.

Need support in following through? I can help you with that!

Introducing the soft launch of my digital coaching service.

Why am I the best person to be offering this?

Five reasons.

Number 1. My intrinsic value is integrity. When I say I’m going to do something, I follow through. Some examples?

  • NaNoWriMo (Write a 50,000+ word novel in 30 days. Done, 7 years in a row.)
  • Mastermind (Convened a weekly accountability meeting. Still meeting weekly, a year later.)
  • LetterMo (Write a letter every day the post office is open in February. Done.)
  • Camp NaNoWriMo (Set a writing challenge in April. Done, 30 hours of editing.)
  • A-Z blogging challenge (Write a blog entry every day (except Sundays) for a month, following the ABC’s. Done.)
  • Meditate for 10 minutes (Done every day for 30 days.)
  • Exercise: “Six Week Six Pack,” and “Ripped in 30,” both by Jillian Michaels
  • and more…

Who better to help keep you on track than someone who has a proven track record of following through on big goals?

Number 2. I am a patient teacher. I have taught Armenians how to use Photoshop, in Armenian (not English!), on computers using a Russian operating system. If I can do that, I can teach you, too. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and more.

Number 3. I have a lot of time to learn—I don’t have kids or a lot of external responsibilities—and I take advantage of it. I have a hunger to know more, so I’m constantly reading books and blogs, listening to podcasts, and watching videos about motivation, creativity, and personal development. I’ve figured out why some techniques will help keep you moving and others won’t—so I can help you determine what will work best for you.

Number 4. I’ve also attended events to learn about the latest trends, the newest tools and services, and the best techniques to use when it comes to social media and your online presence. Now I’m ready to share back all the things I’ve been learning. Wouldn’t you like to benefit?

Number 5. One of my biggest frustrations with a “one size fits all” approach has always been that everyone is different. I like to try new services and tools to see if they work for me, and to judge whether they’ll work for you. I’m good at customizing what I learn to fit a specific person’s needs. Do you need something in “just my size?” Let’s talk about it.

When Should You Schedule an Appointment?

Today. Right now.

Don’t wait until you’re “ready,” or until you “have time to plan.”

I know that when I put off starting something, it never gets started. I encourage you to make an appointment, and I’ll meet you where you are right now. If you’ve done pre-work, that’s great, and we can start there. If you haven’t, that’s fine; we’ll do the pre-work together. Sometimes all you need is a nudge in the right direction, or someone to sit and listen to you think out loud. I’m offering to hold that space for you.

Evelyn Coaching

Digital Coaching with Evelyn

It’s an hour-long commitment. We meet online, so you stay at your house and I’ll stay at mine. We can cover any of a variety of topics. This is a soft-launch, so I’m offering a lot of options, while I figure out where I can best serve people’s needs.

I have already been offering these coaching calls to a select group of people. Some examples of our calls are below:

  • I helped someone work through what she wanted in a new website, taking her disparate ideas and helping her organize them into a cohesive and detailed whole, that she is now very excited about.
  • I helped a client identify the areas in which she needed help in her business—what tasks needed to be done and what skills a potential employee would need to have—and formulated a plan around new hires, so she can relax and spend more time at the lake.
  • I helped someone take a realistic look at their goals and their schedule, and create a plan that is moving them steadily in the direction of their dreams. We check in regularly to make sure they’re on track, and to make adjustments as needed.
  • I watched as someone went through their inbox, replying to, or deleting emails as necessary. Hey, sometimes you just want to know that you’re not suffering through a task all by yourself!
  • I taught someone how to use several tools in Photoshop, to create their own customized t-shirt design.

As you can see, the coaching calls are diverse.

In my call with you, we can talk about your goals and how to keep yourself accountable; you can learn a new software program or get advanced help with one you already know; I can help you plan and set up a new website; and many more options!

This is not all that I offer. See the coaching page for additional ideas. If there’s an area where you would like help that isn’t listed, and you think I might be able to offer it, send me an email and ask. I’m open to possibilities right now. (evelyn at travelingev dot com)

Do Clients Get Value Out of These Calls?

Yes, absolutely! See the following testimonial for proof:

“Evelyn was amazing to work with. She is helping me both with figuring out the technical AND creative sides of getting my website together. (In my experience it can be difficult to find someone who can do both.)

“She also was really great at just helping me flush out my ideas and give me clarity on where I need to start. Since I started working with Evelyn I have way more confidence in the fact that my website is going to turn out awesome.

“If you are on the fence about working with Evelyn, I have one question for you… how badly do you want to see your goals come true? Sometimes it’s not just about being motivated, but also having the proper support person in place to help you walk towards your goals. I am so grateful Evelyn is that person for me.”

Who Is This For?

This is for people who have a project they can’t seem to get off the ground. This is for those of you who have been “meaning to get to” anything in your life. This is for someone who needs technical expertise with their website, computer, or software program. This is for the person who needs a coach to keep them accountable. This is for someone who is stuck in a creative rut, and wants to bounce ideas around.

This is for you if you want an informal and non-scary teacher for anything IT-related you’ve been too embarrassed or overwhelmed to ask someone about. I can even walk you through basics of how to use your Google Drive! (What’s a Google Drive? We can talk about that, too.)

This is for my close friends and family as well, if you are reading this. This is for those of you who know my name and my face, even if we haven’t really talked in a long time, or even if we have never really talked at all! This is for any of you who are curious about what I’m like as a person instead of words on a blog.

How Much Is It?

For this introductory period, I’m charging $35 for each hour-long online session. If you sign up for two or more at a time, the rate drops to $25/session.

Compared to other coaches, this is really cheap. I know I’m worth more than that, but I want to make it easy for you to give it a try and see if I’m the right type of coach for you.

Time For Action!

How do you feel about this? Can you think of anything that you’ve been banging your head against the wall about lately that I might be able to help you with? Even anything I haven’t listed? I’m giving everything a go right now.

Does this sound like something you might be interested in? If so, please sign up online for a session this week, or shoot me an email with any follow-up questions you may have. (evelyn at travelingev dot com)

Either way, know that I appreciate you and hope to continue entertaining you with future blog posts.

Love, Ev
