All the New Leaves

By | February 8, 2015

You can always turn over a new leaf. As long as you keep that mindset, you can do anything. At any point, for any reason, you can draw the line and decide that from now on, everything will be different.

Turn over a new leaf!

Turn over a new leaf!

Then, even if you fail, you can draw another line and decide that FROM NOW ON, everything will be different.

The future can always be brighter, more positive, and more fulfilling than the past! How amazing is that? You just have to turn over a new leaf!

For the past month, I’ve been writing draft blog entries, trying to figure out what I have to say, and what you want to hear. My brain feels so muddled; everything that comes out is unsatisfactory. I question every word I write, and start a thought just to erase it and tell myself, “That’s not an accurate depiction of what’s going on in your head.”

So I start again—from another angle, beginning with a different feeling. But I erase that too, because I don’t want to focus on the negative, or I don’t want to seem like I’m complaining, or I don’t want to write about me, or the subject matter is too boring.

There are dozens of reasons for cutting my fledgling creativity wings and forcing myself to hobble around wondering why I can’t fly.

But it’s time, again, to turn over a new leaf.

I declare to you today that FROM NOW ON, EVERYTHING WILL BE DIFFERENT.

See? It’s already working? I’ve finally posted a blog entry!

You with me? Let’s turn over all the new leaves!

See how bright the future looks when you know you can turn over a new leaf?
