I didn’t make the final cut of this video, but when I was interviewed, I said something along the lines of, “I’m thankful for hot running water, always having electricity, fresh produce year-round, big cups of coffee, smartphones, and many other material things, especially after coming back from Peace Corps in Armenia where I didn’t always have the comforts I enjoy in America. But I am especially thankful that I will get to spend part of the holidays with my family and friends this year.”
I am also thankful for my job at the Monterey Institute of International Studies (MIIS—we pronounce it “Miss” or sometimes “Ms”). Would you know, I filmed at least half of those interviewed in the preceding video! I’m ridiculously proud of the things I’ve done so far here. May it continue to go well, and may I soon get settled enough here to work smarter on my side project of making this blog incredible!
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
